Eye injury is common in industry and it's not just those who operate machinery and equipment that suffer - people passing a hazardous operation are at risk, too.

The way to avoid injury is to wear the right PPE, and at Willis Safety we can provide everything from spectacles to goggles, helmets and visors.

When you're choosing protection there are several factors you need to take into account. For example, other pieces of equipment it might be worn with.

At the same time you have to consider the type of situation your people will be in. Will they be exposed to chemical and impact hazards where the whole face is at risk? If so, it's best to choose a full-face visor rather than spectacles or goggles. Or is protection needed against gas and vapours? In this case goggles with appropriate ventilation are probably the right choice.
